- Download and install the EVERYWHERE App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Accept the Terms — review and accept the End User License Agreement.
- Enter your Configuration Key — input your unique key to link your account.
- Message History Prompt — select "No" unless you are restoring messages from a previous setup.
- Enable Permissions — allow access to Location, Bluetooth, and Notifications. Contacts access is optional.
- Bluetooth Pairing — tap "Yes" to pair with your device now, or "No" to do it later. Note that Bluetooth pairing may require extra steps on the device.
Pairing the EVERYWHERE App with your device
Important: For full functionality, use only the EVERYWHERE App. Uninstall any Garmin apps and unpair the device from your phone's Bluetooth before pairing with EVERYWHERE. Always ignore prompts to download Garmin apps.
On the device
- Press MENU twice from the map screen (home page), then navigate to Setup > Bluetooth > Continue.
- Keep the "Pair Phone" screen active, showing "Waiting for phone."
On the app
- Tap Settings > Bluetooth Pairing and Status, then tap Pair.
- Find the Pairing Code that matches your device, tap the circle to select it, then tap OK.
- Confirm Bluetooth shows as Connected in the top-left of the app status bar.
Activating a transferred device
Tip: If your device was purchased directly from EVERYWHERE, you can skip these steps.
Step 1 — Factory reset
Press MENU twice, then navigate to Setup > Reset > Reset All Settings > OK.
Step 2 — Activate the device
Tip: The device needs a clear view of the sky during activation to connect to satellites.
- Press MENU twice, then navigate to inReach Activation > Next > Skip Pairing > Yes > Next > Next.
- Wait for the screen to display "Activation Complete."
Step 3 — Enable Auto Track
Press MENU twice, then navigate to Setup > Tracking. Confirm that Auto Track is On.
Testing your signal
Tip: Run a signal test before heading into the field to confirm your device is functioning and your satellite subscription is active.
- Press MENU twice, then navigate to Tracking > inReach Utilities.
- Select Communications Test > Test.
- Make sure the device has a clear view of the sky.
- When you hear a chirp and see "Your Subscription is Currently Active," your device is ready to use.
Sending a preset message
Preset Messages (also called "Check-In" on the device) are one-touch messages set up in the EVERYWHERE Hub and sent to pre-assigned contacts. They are a fast way to confirm your status without typing anything.
- Press MENU twice.
- Navigate to Messages > Send Check-In.
- Select your preset message.
- Press ENTER to send.
Sending a quick message
Tip: Hub admins can manage up to 20 Quick Messages at the device or team folder level. After saving changes in the Hub, complete a USB sync to apply the updates to your device.
- Press MENU twice.
- Navigate to Messages > New Message > Select Quick Text.
- Use the arrow keys to scroll through available messages under "Pick Quick Text."
- Select a contact.
- Press Send Message.
USB syncing your device
A USB sync pushes Contacts, Preset Messages, and Quick Messages from the EVERYWHERE Hub to your device. App users get contact updates automatically over the air, but device-only users need a USB sync to receive those changes.
- Download the configuration file from the Hub, or request it from your Hub User administrator or EVERYWHERE Support.
- Connect your GPSMAP 67i to a computer using the Garmin USB-C data cable.
- Transfer the file by dragging and dropping it into the root folder of the device.
- Eject and restart the device, then follow any on-screen prompts to apply the changes.

- Press and hold the SOS button to start the countdown.

Cancelling an SOS
- Press and hold the SOS button to begin cancellation.
- Select "Yes" to confirm.
- Wait for a confirmation message from Garmin Response. Once confirmed, the device returns to normal operation.
