How Does Privacy Mode Work?
Privacy Mode lets admins restrict what a specific device can see and receive within the EVERYWHERE app. When it is turned on for a device, that device stops receiving location data and alerts from teammates. The device owner can still communicate and send their own location, but they cannot track others. This is useful for situations where an individual field user should not have visibility into the rest of the team's movements or alerts, without needing to remove them from the account entirely.
Who can turn Privacy Mode on or off?
Only account admins can manage Privacy Mode. It is turned off by default and follows your Enterprise account setup. Admins can apply it at the team level or at the individual device level through the Hub.
What changes when Privacy Mode is on?
Map: The device will no longer see teammates on the map. Their positions will not appear, regardless of whether those teammates are actively tracking.
Alerts: The device will stop receiving alerts about other devices. Alerts that came in before Privacy Mode was turned on will still show in the app, but the "View current location" button on the Alert Details page will be hidden. Factal Alerts are not affected and will continue to come through normally.
Messages: Text messages will still include geo-location data. However, the "View current location" button on the Message Details page will be hidden. This behavior applies to messages received both before and after Privacy Mode is enabled.
What still works?
Even with Privacy Mode on, the device can still send messages, share their location, and send a pin. The user can operate normally in the field. Only their ability to view others is restricted.

How to enable Privacy Mode
- Log in to the EVERYWHERE Hub as an admin.
- Navigate to the team or device you want to update.
- Open the device or team settings.
- Toggle Privacy Mode on.
- Save your changes. The setting takes effect immediately.
