How to Download the EVERYWHERE Companion Mobile App

 The EVERYWHERE Companion app comes with every inReach device and pairs with it over Bluetooth to expand what your device can do. On its own, the inReach can only send and receive messages and trackpoints over satellite, which needs a clear view of the sky to work. When you pair the Companion app, your phone can pick up that work using its cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. That means you can keep sending messages and sharing your location even when a clear sky view is hard to find, and you get a simple, easy-to-use interface for doing it. The Companion app is the best way to get the full value out of your inReach device. 

Before You Start

Make Sure:

• You have a smartphone or tablet that is up to date.
• If pairing, have Configuration Key ready or an E-mail assigned to your device in the Hub.

Step 1: Open the App Store

• On Apple devices, open the App Store.
• On Android devices, open the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Search for EVERYWHERE App

• In the search bar, type: Everywhere Communications.
• Look for the app with the orange Everywhere logo.
  
  

Step 3: Download the App

• Tap Download or Install.
• Wait for the app to finish installing.

Step 4: Open the App

• Tap the app icon on your home screen.
• Follow the on-screen steps to sign in.

Step 5: Sign in and Register

1. Review and accept the End User License Agreement.
2. Enter your Configuration Key when prompted.
   • If you were not provided a Configuration Key, try using your assigned email address.
   • If registration is unsuccessful, contact your Hub Administrator or EVERYWHERE Support.
3. Select No when prompted to restore message history unless instructed otherwise.
4. Enable Permissions to allow access to:

• • Location Services
  • Bluetooth
  • Notifications
  • Contacts (optional)
