How to Enable Location Services and Tracking for the EVERYWHERE App
The EVERYWHERE App needs access to your location so teammates, Hub managers, and emergency responders know where you are—especially during an SOS. Location must be enabled at the phone level and within the App.
On an Android Device
-
Open your phone’s Settings.
-
Go to Apps → EVERYWHERE → Permissions.
-
Set Location Access to “Allow all the time.”
Then, inside the App:
-
Open the EVERYWHERE App → Settings tab.
-
Turn Device Tracking on.
-
This controls tracking over cell/Wi-Fi.
-
If you’re paired with an inReach device, tracking will still continue over satellite even if this toggle is off.
-
On an iOS Device
-
Open your iPhone’s Settings.
-
Scroll down and tap EVERYWHERE.
-
Set Location Access to “Always.”
Then, inside the App:
-
Open the EVERYWHERE App → Settings tab (top-right).
-
Turn Tracking on.
-
This controls tracking over cell/Wi-Fi.
-
If paired with an inReach device, satellite tracking continues regardless.
-
Key Takeaways
-
Android: Set location access to Allow all the time.
-
iOS: Set location access to Always.
-
In-App Toggle: Only controls cell/Wi-Fi tracking, not satellite.
-
If permissions are not set correctly, SOS from the Safeguard App (standalone EVERYWHERE App) may not transmit your location.
